Cutest Guy Ever!

Tommy poses with a dashing grin near his makeshift toybox…Mommy’s laundry basket. He is getting so big – looking, and acting, more like a little boy every day. He now weighs nearly 21 lbs. and has grown to 28.5″ in height. What a big guy! He can pull to standing in his crib and is sure having fun trying to pull up on everything else around the house! Another noteworthy accomplishment is that he can play “pat-a-cake” with Mommy…he waves his arms up and down with a big grin when I sing the song with him.

Big Boy Bath

Here Tommy bathes in the big bathtub without the support of his bath seat. In this picture he’s riding the alligator skid mat while his turtle washcloth keeps him modest for the camera. After a few days of bathing this way we decided to go back to the bath seat for a little while. He may have great balance on land, but a few inches of water really throws it off.

Tommy’s Valentine

Our little loverboy went on a “date” for Valentine’s Day to the Shark Reef aquarium. Here Tommy swoons over cute little Carissa as they watch the fish swim around. The babes were mesmerized by the sea life…and each other! They saw dozens of species of fish, jellyfish, sharks and a beautiful sea turtle.

Go Bears!

I have added several new posts below. The weather in Las Vegas has been way too nice to hang out on the computer, so I have a little catching up to do on the Tommy archives. Here Tommy models his Daddy’s favorite shirt. Future Golden Bear, perhaps? Thank goodness he has years to decide!

Tommy’s First Haircut

Tommy got his first haircut yesterday. Our stylist, Becky, gave him the VIP treatment with the “Superman” cape and everything! He doesn’t have enough on top for a full-blown snipping, but we had his ears lowered and the nape trimmed to clean him up a bit. He’s got to look sharp for all his girlfriends, you know! He did not care for the scissors and comb, but the buzzing of the trimmer made him giggle like crazy. Here is the before photo…
And here he is afterward…what do you mean you can’t tell the difference? Ha ha!

Over Easy, Please!

Tommy tries egg yolks the other day. (No whites yet as they are a likely allergen for youngsters under the age of one.) He liked the chewy texture…and throwing them on the floor! Trying new foods has been a big adventure for us in the past few weeks. He’s game for just about anything! He’s now eating cheese, bagels, toast, fresh apples (no peel) and pizza crust. Yum!

Shoulder Ride with Uncle D

Tommy has fun playing with his Uncle Derick…But he sure lets us know when he’s had enough! Guess Derick got him too close to the ceiling fan! Actually, he got upset when I counted “1…2…3…” for the flash, as this is a bathtime cue I use to let him know I’m going to pour water over his head for a rinse. He must’ve thought a big bucket was going to drop from the sky!
