Uncle Derick got his first brand new car today. It’s so sporty! Mommy and I took him to pick it up right when it got off the truck from California…the truck was really noisy! It’s an Infiniti coupe and I’ve never seen my uncle quite so happy.
“Ready to be your co-pilot, Uncle D! Now, where’s the sippy cup holder on this thing?”

Big Boy Haircut
Almost Walking
Tommy loves his new “walker,” which the Easter Bunny brought in lieu of candy. His first walking aid was a popcorn tin/drum, but that kept on getting caught on the edges of the tile. So he graduated to this contraption, which scares the bejesus out of Mommy…he can go so fast with it! Aunt Cindy cheers him on in the background.
It’s a High Chair, Not a La-Z-Boy!
Tommy’s Busy Easter
Tommy’s Easter was so much fun…he got to meet the Easter Bunny before brunch with the Wedewer side of the family on Easter Sunday!
Then, he met Scooby Doo, too!
After brunch, Daddy gave him a shoulder ride after an Easter egg hunt. He found two eggs, but mostly just enjoyed the grass beneath him. As for the shoulder ride, he was just so wiggly and excited that it didn’t last long. Thank goodness he didn’t throw Daddy’s neck out the way he was bucking on his shoulders! He’s into bouncing now. A lot!
Smile Already!
Aren’t balloons supposed to make babies smile? They usually do…but I caught Tommy in a very serious moment with this floating red star. He loves to bat at it like a punching bag while he giggles like crazy.
That’s more like it, Tommy!
More mischief in the kitchen. Here Tommy indicates it is time for a meal. Actually, we’re not quite trained like Pavlov with our mealtime signals, but he does like to push his high chair around on the tile…a trick he learned from his pal CJ. Instant walker!
My First Easter Egg Hunt
Heart and Soul
Here Grandma Norma teaches Tommy how to tickle the ivories on Daddy’s piano. Though Mozart is a distant relative, Grandma says he plays more like Beethoven…he’s got gusto for a little guy! Since returning from our vacation I’m trying to incorporate “practice” time each morning. He seems to have a lot of fun punching at the keys and watching his reflection in the shiny black finish of the piano. Tommy also enjoys playing his tamborine and at a recent Gymboree session he went bonkers on the floor drum. Watch out Tommy Lee…Tommy James is going to have your job (minus the naughty rock-star lifestyle!).
