This weekend we escaped the horrendous Las Vegas heat (110+!) and drove to Redondo Beach for a few days. We stayed with Tommy’s Aunt Cindy & Uncle Jeremy and had a fabulous time!

Here our little guy enjoys some ice cream at Trump National Golf Club in Palos Verdes. He was very well behaved during his first visit to a swanky country club (little known fact: it’s open the the public and the views are absolutely amazing!). The fancy chefs make mean chicken fingers and fries, but the ice cream is to die for!
On Sunday we enjoyed the afternoon in Redondo’s Riviera District. Here Tommy takes a turn on the carousel. He’s not a huge fan yet, but that will surely change in a year or two.

This weekend we had a fun family barbecue with our neighbors, the Goldens. Here Tommy and his buddy, Mason, swim with their daddies. What great pals…they even have the same taste in swimwear (apparently red swim trunks with dinosaurs are all the rage here on Caminita Place!)

Rather, Mommy makes Tommy wear clothes to match Daddy! Here my two favorite guys humor me in their nearly-matching outfits. I just can’t help myself…it’s an illness, really.

Here Tommy poses with his best friend, Kaya, and his favorite toy, his cart! These three are such great buddies (though Kaya isn’t truly fond of the cart, as it allows Tommy to chase her much faster than he could on his own two feet). Notice the cool iron-on patches on Tommy’s PJs…he plays with such fervor that he’s worn holes in the knees of every pair!

Here’s our favorite little bi-ped! Tommy’s becoming more and more confident in his walking abilities. He still likes to crawl around, but he’s taking an increasing number of solo steps every day.
