Annalise & Charlie

Annalise had a play date with her friend, Charlie, today. They’re a month apart and just so cute together! While their big brothers ran around like banshees these two gooed and gaaed at each other like little angels. She’s taking after her big bro with the silly faces at picture time, though!

Here they are on their first “date” back on December 12, 2007. Were they really that tiny?!?

Father’s Day Brunch

We enjoyed a lovely Father’s Day brunch at Ceres with the whole gang. Tom & Ann, Brian & Lisa and the boys, etc. Did we take any pictures of the fathers? No. Just the kids being cute.

Annalise in her princess chair. She REFUSES to dine in the restaurant-supplied high chairs (which is indeed more hygenic, but made dining at Disneyland a bit of a nightmare!). We just lug our own booster seat and tray around with us. Everywhere.

Tommy playing with marker caps. He could care less about coloring, he just loves to do his own version of Freddy-Kreuger-meets-Lee-Press-On-Nails.

Pancakes!

Annalise, meet pancakes. Pancakes, meet Annalise. Now they’re BFFs.

Tommy enjoys a stack of Daddy’s homemade pancakes, too. He likes them with syrup and he loves to grab his book “If You Give a Pig a Pancake” every time he makes them.

Andrea’s 30th Birthday

Yikes! It’s here! I’m an olelady now. My 30th birthday was quite wonderful. James and I enjoyed a quiet lunch at Vintner Grill while Grandma & Papa watched the kids. I then snuck down to get a quick mani-pedi before dinner with the extended family. We celebrated at Roy’s of Hawaii with Tom, Ann, Norma, Rick, Brian, Lisa and Derick. Their Mai Tais are the best this side of Maui and the chocolate souffle is birthday-worthy. It was a fantastic day and a wonderful way to usher in what’s bound to be the best decade yet! Wish I’d taken a few pictures with the whole gang. :(

Papa & Grandma’s Visit

DMV

With my birthday fast approaching, and a driver’s license renewal looming, I had to make a beeline to the DMV on a lovely Monday morning. With the kids in tow (both in rotten moods) I began my wait expecting a morning of torture. Annalise was hungry and the state-run coffee shop wouldn’t help me to heat up her bottle (she’s a stickler for toasty temperature). Tommy was bored, and he tends to start picking on his sister when he doesn’t have anything better to do. Well, the whining and screaming worked to my advantage…they gave me an express pass for my renewal and we were in and out in hardly 45 minutes. James asked if he can borrow them for his next trip to the DMV.

Redondo Beach

After our stint in Anaheim we headed out to Redondo Beach for a night and beautiful sunny day on the coast. Annalise seemed pretty pleased listening to the surf and Tommy wanted to help the fishermen on the pier.

Disneyland 2008

The first weekend in June we took a trip out to Disneyland to celebrate Mommy’s 30th birthday. What a fantastic place to enjoy family time and watch our kids soak up all the joy and fun! We spent one day at Disneyland and then hopped over to California Adventure the next, meeting up with Aunt Cindy and Uncle Jeremy.

Fun with Leesey

Annalise is growing so much so fast! Here she enjoys her first serving of Cheerios.

Then she gets her first pedicure. I got her to hold still by using the Cheerios from the previous photo to distract her while she sat in her high chair.

Then she worked on her cute little yoga pose and sitting skills. She’s an ol’ pro at sitting upright now.
