Perhaps one of the oldest publicly used features of the Internet are the Usenet discussion groups. One of the most diverse categories, the alt.* threads, number over 4700 groups. Hundreds of groups are added and deleted from the Internet every month, and it is no wonder that they are extremely popular since there is something for everyone. What if there isn't a particular category you're looking for? You can probably have it created (or create it yourself if you're lucky enough to have a server).
