[ Introduction ]

One of the predominant discussions today about the Internet surrounds the so-called Digital Divide. This debate has spurred articles aplenty by journalists, sociologists, academics, students, and action by schools, teachers, and governments.

One of the key problems that all sides face on this issue surrounds the data and its interpretation. Because of this, we are forced to ask if there really is a problem. If so, should we do anything about it? What should we do?

I will not pretend to know these answers in this, my own look at the issues surrounding the Digital Divide. Instead, I have gathered resources, new and old, on the Internet and hope to bring an additional perspective to the table that looks at multiple sides of the issue. I have included a discussion forum here so that you can critique my own work, and add to this ongoing debate.

Thank you for visiting my site and I hope you can come away at least a little more enlightened about this current topic in our society.
